Hi, I'm working on a small film with large sections shot with a Sony VX2000 dv camera.

I'm looking for an app that can turn my Powerbook into a video assist monitor for shooting. I know iMovie can display the camera view while you use it but it is confined to a small area of the entire screen. I thought of iChat AV since it can go full screen, but haven't tried that yet.

Basically I need an app that will display the dv camera view to a large part of the screen, if not fullscreen.

Thanks for any help,
Don

I would think that this would not be the best way to go, as you would run into display discrepances since the PB monitor is progressive scan rather than interlaced (along with other problems such as color differences etc.)

Those things don't really matter for a video assist monitor, at least for what we are doing. We only need it to help frame shots and choreograph camera movements.
