What is the best way some of you are printing up song collections from iTunes? I can't believe it isn't a standard feature.

Weird, I know.
I haven't done this in a while, but...

With BBEdit (and probably other HTML coder's editors) you can just drop a folder on a window and it will list the contents.

This has been covered before.

You can select your playlist and copy, paste in a spreadsheet and it will organize accordingly.

I'd like to be able to print a list of just artists and albums, without all the songs, and without having to do a lot of editing. My library's too big to print every song.

I downloaded iTunes Music Catalogue by Kavasoft yesterday. Found it in the MacNN news items on Nov 3rd. It's great. It will do exactly what you want with printing lists with or without songs. It will load all album art into iTunes all at once. And will get lyricks as well. Nice and clean interface with brushed metal. It's ten bucks but worth it. I highly recommend it.

Yeah, I saw that too, nice bit of work. I especially like the lyrics feature.

However, before I saw that, scottiB told me about a utility called PrintWindow (I think you can get it at macupdate.com). What it does is print (or save to PDF) the contents of any folders on your drive, and you can tell it how many layers of folders you want it to print. I was therefore able to create a list of artists and albums (without all the songs) by telling it to print the contents of my iTunes music folder, 2 layers deep. If I went 3 layers deep, it would print all the songs as well.

I still wish one could do it straight from iTunes.

Are you looking for something similar to iTunes Publisher?
