Ok I got Final Cut Pro and the first bug I noticed was that I when I try to slow down video it won't. All it does is advances the clip til it can't advance anymore then throws a "general error" at me. The viewer turns a lovely shade of red and I can't render it.

The video format I am using is:
DV/DVCPRO - NTSC
Basically quicktime's DV Stream. (So I don't have to render the video)

I have final cut 4.0.2 and quicktime 6.4, I just downloaded some FCP plugin through software update that was recommended for FCP users.

It was called the "FCP QT Render Plugin".

So is there something wrong or do I just need to wait for Apple to release another update?
Any help would be appreciated.

What are you doing to the clip to slow it down?

Put it into FCP and right click it, select "speed" and lower it that way.

Ok, just making sure you know your ass from your elbow

I have been using FCP 4 since WAY before it was declared GM, and I've never even heard of that bug, so it might be a localized phenomenon on your computer. Suggestions would include trashing the prefs, calling tech support (the FCP techs are awesome in my experience) and reinstalling the software.

I am beginning to think so, last night I opened it up the problem or "bug" was magically fixed. I didn't throw anything away or do anything!

Nope, Its back again and there is another bug that I never noticed. I have all of clips in the timeline and in the "folder menu" thing...the place where the sequences are kept. And when I double click on the clips in the timeline it won't appear in the viewer. I only get a black screen, I have tried to advance forward and backward but it stays black. Man this is pissing me off I even tried to reinstall FCP3 and it can't read the fcp4 files.
