I have a Shuttle Pro and I think it can be programmed to work with anything using the software that comes with it from Contour Designs. I don't have an Eye TV so I have no way to verify this but you could perhaps email Contour and see what they say. I can check when I get home to see if there are presets in the shuttle's software for Eye TV (it has a pretty long list of presets for apps ranging from FCP to Quicktime).

I should have been more specific. I meant that I wanted to be able to use it as a jog/shuttle controller. The Shuttle Pro software will allow it to be programmed like a mouse button, but not necessarily anything more. In QuickTime, it can start and stop the movie, but it can't scrub a scene. That could come in handy when editing a show in EyeTV, or just viewing sports scenes where you need break down the action.
By the way, since you have the Shuttle Pro, have you tried it in QuickTime in OS X? I tried it a long time ago in Mac O/S 9, but, like I said, it didn't do much. Thanks.

Yup, full scrubbing in QT under X.

Yes, but obviously it didn't scrub in Excel. That's really the whole point of a jog/shuttle dial. Otherwise, it's just a big scroll wheel.
Anyway, thanks for the input. Did you use the Shuttle Pro in OS X? Mine has been in a drawer somewhere for almost two years, since before I switched to X, so I haven't tested it yet in this o/s.
