I finally laid down the cash for FCP 4. One of the reasons why I wanted it is for livetype. I just tried to install it and cannot becuse I don't have enough disk space. Total I have 280 GB on my system, however livetype will only install the data on the disk with OSX on it and that drive only has 7 GB free. Any idea why this is? Soundtrack allows you to put the files on another drive without a problem, why can't livetype? Is there any way to work around this issue? Thanks.

Yeah LiveType is very picky about having the install on the boot-drive. One way around this is to install LiveType and not its media files (almost all of it big size). You can import the files as you need them and LiveType will tell you if it is installed or not. I prefer to have all the files on the drive because it makes LiveType much more fun and efficient to use but if space is at a premium you may not have a choice.
