I'm trying to find a picture of a inkjet printable CD-R that has something printed on it [preferably a colorful one] using a inkjet printer capable of printing on CD-R media [like the Epson 900 printer] ........
I wonder how good the quality is on the CD-R using inkjet printers ...
any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks

Call Primera Technologies. Ask for an info packet on their printers and they will send you a sample cd.

I have a Epson Photo 900, the quality on printable CD/DVD's is excellent. Matches any studio DVD. My only minor gripe is that it doesn't print on the inner circle of the CD/DVD. Also you need to let them dry prior to putting them in a player. I wait a day when I use heavy ink load, (for that deep saturated look, like a Studio DVD/CD) or a few minutes for light ink or B&W printing....
I bought the printer for CD printing, and I am very happy with it....

The printer came with a demo version of Discus EP 2.72 which works fine for printing basic CD/DVD labels. Also there is a Photoshop template you can get, so you can create and print from PS.
I would take a shot of the CD once they are printed, but seriously, they look like studio CD's. Blank ones are all white on top. Get the printer, you will not be disappointed.
I find that the print settings for CD/DVD are a little light on ink, everything looks a little faded. But you can use these CD/DVDs right away. If I print out using normal settings (like I was going to print on paper) the printer uses more ink, and you get a more saturated look, which creates a studio quality label. You just need to let them dry a little before you use them,

Will the print get misaligned if you use Photoshop to do the CDs?
have you tried printing on Silver Inkjet Printable Media/CD-Rs ??
How close to the center of the disk (and to the outter part) can you print on?
Thanks for the helP! Very interested in the printer.!

I have not used photoshop yet to print a label, as discus works fine for what I need. If worse comes to worse, I could download the template, create some disc art, in PS, and then Copy and paste into discus. Just so I know it lines up OK. I just know the CD template for photoshop exists, and I guess you could print from PS with it and have everything line up ok. I would test on paper first though. The only part the discus does not print on is the little inner ring, right near the hole. No biggie tho. The PS template may print on there tho. The printer does not print onto anything else but white ink-jet printable discs. Thermal, silver ones will not work.
