I hadn't worked with iMovie in a while, and I accidentally trashed a few clips that I don't want to delete. Is there any way to get them "un-trashed"? I haven't emptied the trash yet.
I think there's a way to do it. Unfortunately, that way is in iMovie2. I have iMovie1 (or at least the 9.2.2 version).
HELP!!!

bump
The trash can still shows 532MB in the trash, and the project file is still a full 800MB+. I just can't get the stuff out of the trash.
(and it's some of the only video we have of our dog as a puppy, and the wife is ready to kill me for losing it)
If I upgrade to OS X and iMovie 2 or 3, will I able to get the clips out of the trash?

search your hard drive for files larger than 500 MB

I searched for those large files, and it returned "Clip 2," an 800MB+ file. When I double-click Clip 2, it launches iMovie, and opens the project file. Four clips on the shelf, and 532MB still in the trash.
I'm installing Panther next week - if I open the same file in iMovie2, might I be able to get those clips back?

if it's not on your hard drive, you're not getting it back. try searching ... better (I assume it's not supposed to be called "clip 2"?). I have no idea what iMovie's behavior is, but if it's storing the clip anywhere, it's on your hard drive somewhere. It might be invisible (like it .Trashes or ~/.Trashes)
if it's supposed to be called Clip 1, try this:
sudo find /* | grep "Clip 1"
(typing your admin password when prompted)

Is that an OSX command? I'm only running 9.2.2
Is there another way to view invisible files?

I think the Find command (command-F) has an option for invisible files. isn't that what you're using?
