I have a Quicktime movie that was created by iMovie3 -just a typical home movie. I then burned it on a CD and then tried to copy the movie from the CD to another mac. Pretty simple ah? Well not quite... After copying the first few megabytes I get an error message and the copy operation fails.

Normally, I would think that the file is corrupted but that assumption breaks down since the movie plays just fine out of the CD; furthermore, I can copy the movie from the CD to the hard drive but only on the computer that created the movie!! I have no idea what's up. Security, why? The copy operation works in the creator machine but not on another -weird... Please enlighten me!

sounds like the second mac's hard drive is the problem. do you have a third hard drive, a network connection or a disk utility?

Thanks, I'll give it shot later on tonight. Pretty baffling stuff...
