A friend of mind bought two i pods each a month ago. One of his had to be sent back to Apple becasue it would not play for more hour before shutting down.
I tested mine, and both of mind, after a full charge, the screen goes dark after about one hour and twenty minutes. Now the battery still has a lot of charge, but after a full charge I cannot get these i pods to have a consecutive play without shutting off for more than one hour and twenty minutes.
I went back to the i pod store and they tested both of mine and said one one good and gave me a replacement new i pod.
I just tested them both and the same results: after a full charge, I hit play, they both went only 1 hour and twenty minutes before screen went dark. Even the new one.
I'm thinking that's just the way it is. There is still lots of battery power left. And I can navigate to where I was, but as far as continuous play, I tried now four new ipods and this is my experience. I'm wondering if anyone has further insight. I don't find Apple too good about explaining this. thanks!
