Just bought an iBook G3 900, and it should be here in a day or two. I've had a 3rd Generation 30gig iPod since July, but it's a Windows model and hence, now that I've taken the plunge to move off of Windows, I wanted to know if it was possible to use my 3G iPod on OS X, and if so, how to do it.

I've already backed up all of my music, so I've got no worries about reformatting it.

Thanks!

All you should need to do is connect the iPod to your iBook, and then use the restore function of iPod Software 2.1. This will wipe the iPod of all data and set it up for use on the Mac.
