I have many D8 tapes. My Sony D8 camcorder is dead. I don't want to buy a new one.

I have seen many services out there that will transfer D8s to DVD.

But I want to retain the DV quality from my D8 tapes.

Does anybody know of any service that will allow me to send them a HD and they will extract DV video from my D8 tapes for me?

In most cities there are companies that do this sort of transfer. Since you did not give your city only a cute little joke I really can't help direct you to a good company one that you might be near you.
