Is it possible to export a sequence or project in the offline RT format? I primarily use my desktop for editing, however recently I bought a PB and I would like to work on projects on the road. My HD space is very limited on the PB, my desktop has 320 gigs and of course my raw dv footage is way too big to copy to my PB. I have read about the offline RT feature in FCP 4, but all I found in the manual was about setting FCP up in offline RT mode from the get go. I already have a few sequences together, I just want to export them so I can work on the audio on the road so I need to export the sequence so that the tracks stay intact when I open them up on my laptop. Hope this is not too confusing, thanks.

All I can think of off the top of my head is to recapture your footage using the Offline RT, just make your footage unaivailable, which it would be once you move the actual FCP file to your laptop, and reconnect media. I can't think of the codec that is used for it, but if you figure it out, maybe you could reencode the video to that format.
