With the rumours of FCE 2.0 circulating, what do you hope 2.0 adds to an already excellent program. I would like:-

1. RT Offline Storage
2. A cut down version of Sound Track

a soundtrack LE version would be nice

other video formats are not neccessary, FCE is not for pros.

would be nice to see some "presets" for effects, as in the title generator - the handling with keyframes is "pro style", but for the engaged hobbiest it would be easier to push a button … something like in photoshop: you can "record" some action and playback'em. and. of course, you can share these "actions".-

ah, btw: FASTER!!!

timecoding

at least it doesn't appear timecoding exists in FCE

um.. more format supports.

integrated DVD authoring, something more susbstantial than iDVD. like a watered down version of the pro software.

A watered down version of Soundtrack would be cool, too.

I don't think they will add many more featues to FCE because it's Express not Pro. The most they will do I think is make it more stable and maybe optimize it for the G5.

If they added features like batch capture and more file formats, I think it would majorly take away sales from FCP.

i could see them adding those kinds of features as they'll also be undoubtedly be adding even more enhancements to final cut pro. it's a trickle down effect.
