hello, while i wait for my video camera to be repaired and allow me to resume editing on my powerbook, i've been doing some stuff for a friend on a PC.

it's a short (3m 20s) music video that he'd like to make available on his website.

i'm looking for suggestions on what compressions i should use to crunch it down to a suitable size for the web.

we want the audio to be as good as possible, as it's the most important part.

the video is 320x240.

how do i get it down to a reasonable size? using sorensen video i have only managed to get it to about 80mb so far.

3ivx is one of the leaders in mpeg-4 compression performance, and the current version produces video that is 100% compatible with QT6's decoder (so anyone with QT6 can play it, but of course if they install 3ivx the playback will look better still). It's by far the fastest encoder too, which is a nice bonus

for audio, mp3 would probably be most compatible, but aac is worth a look too.
