I have a question, hopefully i can get this answered, when i try to put on audio track on a video file in qt pro, the part of the vid where the audio plays is just a white screen, how do i get the video and the audio to work together correctly???

Have the marker put at the beginning of the movie, hold in the Option key and look in the edit menu and you'll see 'Add' and 'Add scaled'. But if you're adding the audio to the video you'd better choose 'Add' as the pitch is changed if you add scaled.

To elaborate on what Jacke said, the problem you're having is that simply pasting the audio into the movie is shifting the video track to start at the end of the audio track. This is why you see a white screen while the audio is playing.

To avoid this problem, you need to use Add, instead of Paste. You can also use Add Scaled if the two tracks (audio and video) are of the same length. If they are not, then don't use this feature as you'll run into pitch and syncing problems.
