I'm looking for recommendations for a MIDI editor for OS X. Just for cutting MIDI files into audio loops. No need for external synth support. Mainly just for editing MIDI files to create loops for ring tones for my Ericsson T616. I don't want to have to fire up Digital Performer, just to edit ring tones.

I've searched versiontracker, macupdate, and this forum and haven't found anything. Quicktime Pro doesn't seem to be up to the task either (it doesn't seem to want to play loops seamlessly).

I did what I wanted to do in less than a minute with a demo copy of this program called Metro, until I found that it won't let me save.

I'd appreciate if anyone has any suggestions.
