Greetings all,

At my workplace we have a dual 1.25Ghz G4 hooked up to an Avid Mojo we use as an editing station. The Mojo is connected to our CPU via nothing other than firewire. We also have a nice external HD that also connects via firewire. But when we start up Avid Express Pro to edit, the program comes up with an error message that there is another device using the Firewire card, and asks that all non-Avid devices using it be removed. I hear this can be solved by using another Firewire card, however I wonder if there is a sotware solution, perhaps some way to fool the program into thinking the ports are on two separate cards. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Maybe it's because the Avid Mojo requires most of the firewire card bandwith, thus not allowing to use it simultanously with another device. Having another firewire card would probably prevent skipped frames and many other problems.
