I record music in a four-track ProTools setup and then edit so the songs segue. Then I convert the one long file into MP3 and burn it for a mix CD that's truly mixed.
Is it possible to write indexes into the one long track so you can search forward to the next song while preserving the file ( and the segues) as one unbroken track?

Also, why are some older MP3 players unable to scan forward within a long MP3 file?

Thanks.
