So I would like to post a quicktime movie on a web site. I was wondering I can have a 'click to play' screen on the quicktime movie (ie. like movie trailers on the apple web sitehttp://www.apple.com/trailers)

That requires creating a poster movie, which can be any graphic image (either a frame from the movie or just a gif that says "Click here") that is imported into QT Player and saved as a Quicktime movie. The QT site has info on poster movies here: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/autho...er_movies.html
If you need more info on the required html try searching for "EMBED" or "HREF" on the QT site.
