I followed this link:

To download Windows media player 9 for osx. I download it, and it gives me a .bin file. So I unstuff it, and it give me a file called Windows Media.sitx.

The OS doesnt recognize it. Neither do I.

You need to update to the latest version of Stuffit Expander. .sitx is Aladdin's newest version of compression.

Why would you want to install it? It makes baby Jesus cry. MPlayer does the trick. Seemingly...

WMP9 is indeed a pathetic program, but it's the only way to play WMV3 (aka "Windows Media 9") movies. for now.
