Is there a small free program for OS X that will tell you what video and audio codecs .avi and .mpg files are using as well as other pertenant info about the file? I can do a little of that with quicktime pro but was looking for something that would give more detail.
Gspot for Windozes ( http://www.headbands.com/gspot/) does exactly what I am looking for but I cant find anything like it for the Mac
Thanks!

Quicktime doesnt give correct info. For example I may have a Divx 3 avi but it will ident it as Divx 4.5 because that is the codec it is using.

the app I write can tell you that stuff (cmd-i for info). Or ffmpeg (less info but reads more file types)
