Hi guys,

I have a friend who wants to learn how to use FCP 4. She is not very computer literate but from what I gather she wants to learn to use the tool to a fairly high standard. Please could you recommend a good book that will take a user right from the beginning up to an advanced level at the end.

The best book in my opinion is Final Cut Pro for Mac OS X: Visual QuickPro Guide (Visual QuickPro Guides) by Lisa Bernneis.

I would agree that the visual quickpro guide is the best.

I really liked the Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Pro 4 book by Diana Weynand. It goes pretty in-depth while also being easy to read and follow along in examples.

I started with rudimentary knowledge of editing (i.e. iMovie) but after taking the time to peruse through this book, I've got a much greater command of FCP4.
