i have this movie in wmv format and it wont work on quicktime so i switch on MPlayer but it doesnt show the screen I can only hear the sound. please help thank u.

Well of course it's not going to work in Quicktime. If it's WM9 video it won't show in MPlayer/VLC either since they only have support for wma/wmv prior to v.9. If you're desperate to see it, get WMP9 for Mac, if you insist on not using MS products you'll have to wait until ffmpeg manages WM9.
