I have a stereo recording but one channel is basically useless and I would like to just take out the good channel and break that up into tracks (using quicktime pro) and burn it to CD. However I don't know how to split the file up. Any ideas? Thanks.

FCP? Overkill. For free look at Audacity. It's on sourceforge. Most any audio editor will be able to do this, peak, soundstudio, amadeus, etc.

Thanks, I forgot about Audacity. The interface is pretty crummy but it did the job.
