Hey, I am cutting a DV video in iMovie and need sum tips in which format/size I should finally export my results to be able to stream it via Flash in an optimized way.
Is Flash able to do it like real, means create streams related to the users bandwidth automatically? or can I , say, create 3 sizes and let flash choose bandwidth-optimized version? Or at least let the user choose?
1. afaik flash always recompresses video data. so to suffer the least from double compression, what is the best export format out of iMovie?
2. other hints and tips are WELCOME.
3. eMail Notification is ON.

Flash can recompress video data, if you want it to. If you don't want it to, don't embed the video file into it. Also, Flash MX 2004 has some nice new video tools if you have it, including the new codec from flash, fmv or something, that gives fair results.
To get the best quality from flash, export from iMovie at full res DV, and when you import it into Flash, it will ask you how you want to compress it. This way, only 1 compression happens.
Do I make sense today? It's been a long day.
