SVCD to DVD...How?

A friend gave me a movie that is on 2 CD-r's and are in SVCD format. Is there a free app out there to convert and put it on a single DVD? I have FCE, iDvd, and iMovie but they don't seem to recognize the files or am I doing something wrong?

Check out dvdrhelp.com. Lots of info there on these sorts of topics. Note that it's largely PC oriented, but there are Mac forums and advice.
