Hello
after using MacTheRipper to back up some DVD's. Id like to export them to a vcr tape.

I have a Canon MiniDV Optura 300, and can connect it to the G4 dual via firewire and then the camera to the VCR with V/R/L audio cable.

but Mac DVD player does not seem to send the signal to the firewire port. iMovie will under "share" but it won't open VIEDO_TS folders.

I could do this easily with a stand alond DVD palyer ( the V/R/L out to the VCR but do not have one.

any ideas??

athanks rotut

You would either need to buy a scan converter to convert your VGA out to RCA or find a way use iMovie. You cannot have the display out through firewire.

The easiest way is probably to go buy one of those cheap $40 DVD players at best-buy.

It is possible... but you need to get the footage into DV format somehow.

If you can open it in Quicktime player, you should be able to export as DV.

I don't know what format your DVD ripper exports as...

What the nerd community most often fail to realize is that all features aren't equal. A well implemented and well integrated feature in a convenient interface is worth way more than the same feature implemented crappy, or accessed through a annoying interface.
