I'm trying to "Share" from iMovie back to my Sony TRV33 digital video camera. Runing the latest OSX and iMovie software out firewire into the camera's DV input. All I'm getting is blue and grey with some digital splotches of the image every once in a while. I tried the iMove help (not very helpful) as well as the Sony manual. (Also not very helpful) There also doesn't seem much addressing this in the archives, at least not with solutions. I could burn a DVD and then output from my TV DV player out S-Video into the camera but that seems redundant. It's for someone who wants the video on DV. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Go to iMovie's preferences and check Play video through to camera.

hey, i'm curious, i just got a trv22 and need to get a firewire cable for it, i looked at sony's site and found this "4.9" i.LINK™ Cable (4-pin to 6-pin) VMC-IL4615" is that what i need? it's either that or a 4-pin to 4-pin but that didn't look right.

A 4-pin to 6-pin is what you need.
A 4-pîn to 4-pin might be usefull to do camcorder to camcorder digital copies or to connect to some firewire PC cards.
