Apparently Final Cut Pro won't directly import AAC. I had to use QT Pro to convert to aif first.
Not a huge deal, but still an annoyance that could be easily fixed.

Last time I talked to a developer working on FCP (just prior to the release of FCP 4) they told me that they had no intention of ever adding that functionality.
