I am used to AE, it looks a lot alike.
Apple says it is fast.
The good stuff is that is works with FCP and DVDSP.

Any comments? Any one has the chance to try it?

I saw a demo at NAB. It's a great app from what I've seen. The interface is very similar to LiveType, but it's so much more intuitive. The minimum requirements are pretty high but the app respond pretty well. On basic tasks it's much faster than AfterEffects. It allows you to build composite on the fly with the video constantly playing. The integration with FCP is great and is one of the biggest advantage over After Effects, unless you use tools like Automatic Duck for importing between AE and FCP . Motion sure doesn't replace AE for lots of tasks (3D compositing, very complex compositing, expressions, etc...). But for most 2D compositing tasks, it does the job pretty well. The particle system and the behaviors are very nice at creating organic animations in a snap. Motion allows you to work more intuitively without bothering with keyframes and all. But you can work more traditionally with a timeline and keyframes if you want. The animation curve is better than AE. All in all it's very good for a version 1 products. But consider it a new tool for most compositing task. For heavier projects, you can't do without AfterEffects.

Not yet, still on 6.0. At work, we will only upgrade our 12 AE licences on sptember (new fiscal year). We had to purchase another ProTools system, so all my software upgrade budget disapeared.
