Ok. My English teacher has told us that our final project will be to film a scene from a work of literature, except with a different genre. My mates and I have decided to make a scene from Candide as a western.

1. I'm wondering if any of you know of any good muzzle flash filters for iMovie/FCE.

2. It has to be on VHS. How the hell do I get an FCE project on to VHS?

I'll mention you in the credits if you help me.

2. If you have an S-Video output on your Mac it's easy. Just export the film to a DV-stream. Connect S-video and sound-out to VHS-recorder and play the film through the QT.

Or, if you have a DV-cam that supports FireWire input. You can do "Print To Video" from FCE. This will record your movie to DV. Afterwards you can connect your DVcam to a VCR using analog connections and record in real-time to VHS.

Last resort would be a firewire box with video outputs. But that is $$$. I don't think you're willing to spend a lot of money for a little school project.

my 2 euro cents.
