I have tons of speakers just sitting around the house from old stereo systems. Thought occured to me today, wonder if it'd be possible to hook them up to my computer and put them to use? Problem is, I have no idea how. They're all just plain ol' unpowered speakers with speaker wire attached. i'm sure there's a way to do it - anyone care to share how? 8-)

You'll have to get an external receiver/amplifier. Then you could use a 1/8" minijack to RCA cable to connect the G5 to the receiver.

If they do not require a lot of power the Griffin PowerWave will allow you to use your speakers.
