I am getting a power mac g5 1.8 or 2.0 and a tascam fw-1884 interface. I plan an using Digital performer as a program. I was curious if any one has dealt with a similar set up? What should I expect from this system as far as tracking live instuments and the quality of the recordings. Does any one have any suggestions for additions to this system to make it better? I would appreciate it if any one else who may have used this stuff could give me any suggestions that may be helpfull. I might get a Moto 896 to add some more preamps too.
