I'm being offered a Video card Matrox RT2000 at a good price. I have a QuickSilver 800 and will have a G5 in a bit. Is the card of use? Will it give me added features I won't have without it?
Thanks!

As far as I know, only the RTMac was supported under mac os. And the support on that was stopped a few months ago.

It only work reliably under os9 with fcp (you most likely cannot boot to osx at all if the card was installed). You get a few useful realtime effect with it. But you'll see the benifits only if you connect to an external monitor for preview or you're going to put your finished project on analog tape. Otherwise, FCP4 provide realtime on screen preview and it will have to render all effect for any digital output anyway.
