Hi. I'm looking at the Sony DSR 11 deck and want to confirm it will work by Firewire with my G4. Also, can I plug an external TV monitor into it and view the FCP Canvas?

I can only assume it can since the DSR-25 which I use works with FCP and you can use an external monitor.

Yes it will all work fine. There is even a little review of the DSR-11 by DV-god Adam Wilt here.
