Hello, I downloaded a show from the recent Bonnaroo concert in the FLAC format. LiveBonnaroo.com says that this show fits onto two discs once it is converted to AIFF or WAV files. When I try to burn the AIFF files using iTunes, the files that go to Disc 1 will not fit. All but the last song/track will fit on one disc. When I contacted LiveBonnaroo.com about the problem they said they were aware of the files not fitting and suggested that I make 3 instead of 2 discs to fit the whole show or to trim some of the crowd noise of the beginning of the first track and/or the end of the last track. WHAT FREE SOFTWARE IS AVAILABLE FOR ME TO TRIM DOWN AN AIFF OR FLAC FILE? IT LOOKS LIKE I ONLY NEED TO TRIM A FEW SECONDS OF THE FILE FOR IT TO FIT. HELP!

Audacity can trim the WAV file for you.

If you don't need to fade or cut sample-accurately, you don't need any additional software.

In iTunes, just select the track to be shortened and change its start point to a couple of seconds later (Get Info... or Cmd-I, then hit "Options").

iTunes SHOULD be smart enough to only burn the portion of a track that you actually play (though I haven't tried this). If it's not, change your Import settings to AIFF or WAV in iTunes' preferences and re-rip the shortened track using the Advanced menu.

It does indeed burn the way you describe.

On another note, I've found that iTunes's "No Gap" option still doesn't burn DAO, which is really annoying. Is it just me?
