Facing the ongoing problem of video storage, i'm loooking at screwing together a BSD Raid box, I've got a Sawtooth G4 ( upgraded to 1.2 G )
and i guess i'll have to get a 1g ethernet card, Does anyone else run a similar system, Will this be quick enough to edit off?

Most video raid set ups use SCSI drives for storage and to connect to those you would need something like an ATTO card. However this type of set up is only really necessary for 'uncompressed' video where you would need high read/write speeds.

If you are only working with DV then a good firewire drive will work fine and is relatively cheap.
