Hi guys,

got the message saying that "A disc cannot contain both NTSC and PAL media." in Toast Titanium as i have about 17-18 MPEGs to burn to VCD ... i deleted some and it did burn the VCD after all ... however, i need to know is there anyway to check which of the MPEG is in PAL and which in NTSC? as i check with QuickTime, all of them are in 320x240 resolution ... so, can anyone help me with this? i need to identify whether it is NTSC or PAL ... then i would also like to know how i can batch convert them to the right format so that i can burn all of them together without getting the message anymore ... explaination on PAL and NTSC would be very well appreciated ... Thanks in advance!
Best regards from,
pmg4lktan

For MPEGs, generally the easiest way to tell them apart will be frame rate: PAL is 25 fps, NTSC is 30 fps.

(Strictly speaking, NTSC is actually 29.97 fps, so you may see that number given instead.)

i see ... thanks for the information ... now i see why i cannot put them together ...

is there anyway to standardise all of the MPEG files? is there any shareware/freeware to BATCH convert (or re-adjust the fps) them? Thanks in advance!

I've noticed that Toast will re-encode 320x240 mpegs into 352x240.

thanks, but i also noticed that if i'm burning 2-3 MPEGs, it's OK, however not until 10++ MPEGs consist of PAL and NTSC ...
