The more I read up on this thing, the more it looks like a god-send.

I have a:

2 y/o G4 dual 867
no airport or bluetooth or wireless anything
a cable modem occupying the Ethernet port

My Sony receiver has an optical port input

What do I need to do to transfer my music across the airwaves to a SlimP3 receiver on my stereo? I've seen routers (b & g) in Best Buy for $70 bucks. What software do I need? Is it Mac compatible?
