xbox to imovie via camcorder

i'm trying to use my 20" asd to play an xbox. I can play the xbox on my Panasonic DV-953, using the S-video input, with the camcorder on VCR mode.

However, when I firewire the DV-953 to imovie, imovie will only display the "Camera Connected" blue screen.

Is there an app which will display the realtime s-video feed going to my camera?

have a look in the preferences for something. try "play video through to camera" and see where that gets you.
