May be there is a thread for this info. I am hoping to burn my music collection to a dvd-r so I can get more music to play it in my automobile dvd player. I tried playing my mp3-cd which I burnt using itunes on the player without success. Please advise.

I'm not sure about the DVD, but an Mp3 CD should work fine, as long as the CD player recognizes MP3 Cd's, not all do.

non-Mac drives need a different standard.

if you use Toast6, you can choose "mac only" "Mac & PC" and "Iso 9660" - a mac can read all these file standards, PC and car stereos not ;-o

I choose the iso standard and my dvd player reads mp3CDrom fine.

no idea, about dvd-r.
no idea about car dvds (you make me jealous!!)

you did use the "internal software" of Apple?
