Hi, I am leaving for a camp on Monday and at the camp there is going to be a lot of great music being played. I am going to use a friend's Nomad (even though I have a 40GB iPod... gah at lack of high quality line in) and was wondering if anyone could recommend a mic to use with it. I would like it to be as high of quality as possible and under $100. Also, I would have to be able to get it from a Pro Audio shop, so I guess it would have to be a name brand. If you don't know a particular model, what brands are good?

By the way, the camp that I'm going to is a Bass Camp led by Victor Wooten, one of the greatest electric bassists ever.

In all honesty at that price range you'd be very low on the microphone food chain. I would suggest just a single point stereo Audio Technica microphone, but I have a feeling that all of these are over $100.

If you are going to go to a store to buy one, I would just go down there and try some out. Every audio shop I've ever been to will let you experiment with the equipment before you buy it. Bring your nomad and record something from a set of speakers.
