Is there any way with itunes to burn a playlist and have all the songs play at the same outputlevel? Do I need somthing like toast w/jam or do I need to "physically" normalize the files?

Thanks

iTunes Preferences --> "Burning" --> "Adjust volume"

This is the same effect as having it adjust volume (i.e. normallize) during playback.

If that works for you, well, this is it.
