I have an old imovie project I never finished. All the media is in the folder, but for some reason quicktime won't open it...s omething about 'parsing' or whatnot. It's from OS9.

Anybody have any ideas?

Trying to fix this today. They say 'resource map was incorrect'. Is there a way to repair this?

Oddly enough when I click 'get info', the preview plays the file fine. So the data is all still there.... it just won't open.

Also, VLC plays them fine. Just no way to export them when they're playing. Dang.

I don't know what a resource map is, but VLC can convert anything it can play; choose "open" from the file menu and look for the "Advanced output" option.

I'm looking for that option, but I don't see it anywhere. What version are you referring to?

It's been there since at least 0.7. Sorry, it's called "Open File..." from the file menu, then it's a check box down at the bottom of the dialog (you're going to want to look at the settings too).
