Is there a software that i can play the video (movie on a DVD) upside down? imagine the powerbook is hung from roof with the keyboard facing the floor...

I couldn't find the option in "DVD Player", and DVD movie doesn't play on VLC or QT...

Won't work.

The only workaround I can think of is to stand on your head.

Keynote allows video to be rotated. But you're probably limited to .mpg and .mov ... MAYBE .avi. But, it won't work for dvds.

Have you actually CHECKED VLC? Upside down is listed on it's feature pager under "filters"

VLC will play DVDs upside down.

Preferences -> Modules -> Video Filter -> Transform
Select hflip

Preferences -> Video
Beside Video Filter Module, select Video Transformation Filter

Save

Restart VLC

From what I understand, I think Alezone needs to select 180, not hflip. This would rotate the video, hflip mirrors it. Using 180 makes the movie viewable upside down, so an upside down powerbook would display the movie rightside up.

And this is a random guess, but I think he wants to use his powerbook as a flipdown dvd player, most likely in the car.

BINGO!! That's what I want

let me try VLC now...

I'm thinking about doing this because I will probably get a new PB, and since my 15" is cosmetically damaged pretty bad, i might as well transform it and make it an ICE ... In Car Entertainment System... would be nice to have a 15" screen instead of a regular 7" in a truck... hehe

Interesting. I'm wondering how much the slot drive will enjoy playing upside down..?

Cool idea though
