Does anybody know why i am unable to capture video to an external hard drive? i am using final cut pro 4 on a1GHZ G4 PowerBook and i recently bought a LaCie 160GB external hard drive but i am unable to capture any video clips to it. Once i change the destination to the external drive the program will drop frames when capturing or freeze after a few seconds. the program works perfectly when the video is beging captured onto the PowerBooks drive. Its really frustrating!!!! Please Help!!!!

Sounds like your computer isn't writing to the drive quickly enough. Is the drive a firewire drive?
If it is then how are they connected... double check the manual for recommended configurations (e.g. if you have a camera or deck connected in certain configurations it will give problems).
