I have some large mov files that I want to re-encode in different format at lower quality so they will stream better. Is there an Applescript or a way to tell Quicktime to export an entire directory?
I'd like to just start the process when I leave work for the night instead of having to babysit and do each file individually.

It's times like these where one really wishes for a command line interface to the Quicktime APIs.

Quicktime Quick Batch

Give this a shot. I was in a similar dilemma days ago and have been using this so far.
It's not perfect but it does work.
