Hi, I have a slow old 600mhz iBook and it has no video in or out on it. I was wondering what my best option would be for inputting video from my video camera would be. I dont know if this is possible, but dont some DVD-Rs have video ports on them? would that work? I have firewire 400 on it but my camera does not....is there some sort of device out there I am unaware of to help me out?? Please help me! thanks a ton!

To input video from an analogue video source you will need a box that converts it to DV format. Try Miglia's 'Directors Cut Take 2'. With this you can connect your camera to the box with standard video cables and then connect the box to your iBook with a firewire cable. I think the cost is about $300

Beware that video takes up lots of hard drive space! You may want to think about an additional firewire drive.
