I would like to get my 3 kids a video camera for Xmas. Cost is a huge, huge issue -- mny husband wants to spend very little, which puts a digital camera out of reach. Therefore, which would be prefereable -- a Hi8 camera, b/c they could then use our digital 8 camera to transfer any tape onto the computer, or an even cheaper VHS camera. We DO have a dazzle bridge converter, which could get the analog tape onto the computer.
I know neither option is great, but which is better?
