Is there a way to have a audio source in the analog line-in pass thru so I can listen thru my speakers?

Trying this on a Rev B Dual 1.8

I see the audio level in the input section under preferences, but I still cant hear anything..

maybe I found my own answer... from my searches, seems like I have to use a 3rd party software.. so far linin is working fine. Unless this is something I can do within OSX?
